The Population Health Alliance has always been at the forefront of health care transformation and innovation in that arena. Our annual conference has always showcased the technological innovations that are pushing forward the change while driving down cost, improving quality and outcomes and putting the individual in the driver seat.
This high tech track is definitely cutting edge. The presentations of the Tech Touch: Strategies for Apps in Health include internet-based activity monitors, which are incorporated with HRAs; online wellness platform that helps to understand resilience, wireless physical activity tracking devices; and mobile health messaging to promote responsible drinking.
Population health meets health care consumerism. The myriad of mobile apps and other technological innovations that put the consumer in the driver seat are pushing providers to catch up and ride the wave. These technologies can be a powerful tool to activate patients and drive up engagement.
